Welcome to Blastech Ltd.

Sheffield University Research Station at Harpur Hill is a unique facility in the UK providing the opportunity for carrying out field scale experiments of a hazardous or obtrusive nature. The department of Civil and Structural Engineering is one of the major users and has now developed four indoor laboratories whose commercial activities are run by Blastech Ltd., with facilities for precision testing under blast and high velocity impact. These laboratories are also connected for instrumentation and control purposes, to adjacent external test areas used for larger scale experiments.

There is a long term commitment to support computer modelling of dynamic material properties and response of structures, in order to improve protection against explosions and impact from technological and natural hazards. Blastech Ltd. has a history of rapid response to customer requirements and offers data only testing, testing with analysis/feedback, and also long term research investigations.
